4/2/2010New Spaces in Dalry

Smith Street car park

Workmen are busy creating new car parking spaces in the car park at the top of Smith Street. Work started last week and we look forward to the finished site with new lighting.

Meanwhile the Cross is having a facelift with the project progressing well. Hopefully it will not take too long as the shoppers and traders are finding it difficult with the disruption.

The shrubs removed

All changed on the Cross

I have heard the new rubbish bins are costing £600 each. What a complete waste of money. It could be better spent elsewhere.
It needs a facelift, what's being done to the Kings Arms?
It will be all change next time I'm back.
Can't wait to see the rubbish bins.
The Cross is beginning to take shape and hopefully all the disruption will be worth it. At last Dalry is having something positive happening so let's hope everyone is happy with it. Sadly no news about the Kings Arms. There will be an opening celebration day when all the work is completed and the CCTV cameras are in place.
The photographs tell a story that we are hoping to see much improvements in how our town centre is shaping and give us something to look forward to. The CCTV should lessen the amount of vandalism and any other of the anti-social behaviour that we have seen in recent years.
