Dalry schools to close early after power cuts

Dalry Primary School and St Palladius' Primary School will close early today (Wednesday, January 18) following a power and water failure in the town.

Dalry nursery has also cancelled its afternoon sessions.

Parents are being contacted to make arrangements to pick up pupils.

UPDATE - 3.30pm Wednesday - North Ayrshire Council have announced on Twitter that both schools will open as usual on Thursday 19th January.

Reason the school was shut was due to the idiots that designed the school when the power goes down the pupils can't flush the toilets, it's a bloody joke! State of the art school my butt! It's a bloody joke! And the children all suffer and lose out on their education designers and concil should be held accountable for this disgrace
