One year on since the new traffic management was implemented in Dalry. Is it a change for the better of the Town? Has it solved our traffic management problems?

20/6/2009Dalry Civic Week 2009: A fantastic Gala Day!
The Dalry Civic Week 2009 Gala Day & Party in the Park on Saturday the 20th of June was a roaring success! The rain pretty much stayed away and there was a huge turnout of local support.
The Princess and Pirate Parade led the way through the town centre to the Public Park, where popular Big Brother star and proud Ayrshire boy Mikey Hughes crowned Civic Week Queen Anna Martin. The attendants were Jessica Boyle and Lauren Shaw.
A big thank you to everyone who made the day possible - please share your feedback, photos and video right here on s1dalry.
Have a look at our
gala day photos taken by s1dalry's photographer of the day Billy Long in the People Gallery under Pics & Video. Thanks Billy!

Where are the pictures of the float?!!

Valid question Karen, but there is an explanation! During the parade, our s1 camera gave technical difficulties, and Billy had to quickly think on his feet to borrow a replacement camera from a friend, so he improvised brilliantly. However, we sadly did miss out on getting more photos at that stage, including of the Dalry Primary School Parent Council Pirate Float you mention. Maybe there are kind people out there who took more pictures and are willing to share…? Thanks! You can do so here.
