It has been confirmed that CCTV will be installed in the town centre area at some point however a time scale has not been given. This is due to problems with cabling.
One of the most serious occurrences was the fire at the Guide Hut on The Blair Estate. This wilful act has deprived youngsters from the whole of the West Of Scotland from using the facilities and damage has been estimated in hundreds of thousands of pounds. Any information relating to this incident can be passed to the Local Community Police on 01505 40400 or via CRIMESTOPPERS on 0800 555 111. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Police would like to thank everyone who contacted them with information and ask people of Dalry continue to support them and report matters to them. Advice was given regarding leaving your keys in the lock after you have locked the door. Apparently there is a new device which criminals are using which can open locked doors from the outside, so after locking your door - take out the keys and put them safely away.
Problems to discuss with Police:
