Come On You Dalry Folk, Support Your Local Fitba Team - Dalry Thistle F.C
I am not a member of Dalry Thistle Commitee just a fan that has started to go to their games on a more regular basis. As you may have gathered Dalry Thistle won the Ayrshire League Trophy & Title and got promoted to the next league at the end of last season. That means now they are going to be in a better league playing much better teams so there will hopefully be a better standard of football played out in their forthcoming matches. So why don't we Dalry Folk get out their and show our support to the team, they need us to go the games, your support paying at the gate your admission will hopefully help the team stay up and buy better players. What better ways to spend your Saturday afternoons at 2pm to go and support your local junior fitba team and more to the point is that the banter from the supporters is a brillant laugh. Not forgetting your pie and bovril at the half-time whistle and your programme and raffle tickets which also helps the team. Dalry have a dedicated manager in the name of John Garroch who in one season alone brought dalry its current success and promotion and has made some new signings. In the Be-Green Shop in Dalry Cross there are Dalry Thistle Scarfs for sale too. So why not go along and support Dalry Thistle back playing at home in Merksworth Park in St Margaret's Avenue at 2pm on Saturday's or Wednesday nights at 7.15pm if you have nothing else to do and support the lads ,somewhere to take the kids too or the grandweans if your are bored, you might just get the weans interested enough that they might want to play football themselves. They even have a website too.
The following games are on the S1Dalry.com notice board playing Beith Juniors on Wednesday night and Dalry Thistle play Largs Thistle this Saturday all at Merksworth Park. So go along and help support your local junior fitba team - The Dalry Thistle- Co'mon the Thistle!!!!!
